People I Love

all in the family_wide_t_nv

One of the many ways God has blessed me is by surrounding me with a wonderful, loving family.  Over the years, they have provided me with stability, strength, and support.  So, I thought it’d be appropriate to pause and give credit where credit is due.  If I have became anything in this world, these amazing people are second only to Jesus in terms of who’s helped me get there.

IMG_3749 My Wife is the love of my life. My sister set us up in early 2003, and we were married by the end of that same year. She stands by me, shares my passion for Jesus’ people, and truly is my better half. She stood by me through the Army, Korea, grad school, the loss of my sister, ministry tensions, and numerous other challenges that life has thrown my way. Regardless of our future, I am glad she will be at my side. 314.
IMG_5535 My Boys bring me immeasurable joy and redefine life in so many ways. They help me laugh when I want to cry, smile when I want to scream, and play when I think it's better to work. Everyday, I learn from my sons how to live in the here-and-now, constantly evaluating how I order my priorities and who gets the largest portion of my time and energy. More than anything, I want to look back and know that I gave them the spiritual foundation they need to be true men of God.
"I am your parent; you are my child.
I am your quite place; you are my wild."
-M.C. Love & S. Ichikawa, You are My Miracle
tulsa trip 031 My Parents, more than anyone else, have helped make me what I am today. They instilled in me a work ethic, devotion to doing the right thing, respect for elders, and gave me a firm family foundation that I know will always be there. As children, my sister and I happily distinguished ourselves as our parents' children; that pride remains to this day. They've helped me focus on the things that matter, disregard the stuff that doesn't, and made me want to be a better parent.
CCI01162012_00000-12 My Sister is the life-long friend I never got to have. With a life torn short at age 22, she still managed to leave immeasurably profound impacts on my life and those around her. She was my constant companion in the early years--an ever-present friend in good times and bad. Together we navigated the journeys of childhood, relying on each other more than we ever realized. The Mesaeh Household is a family of four, and we won't be full again until we meet on the Other Side. The reunion will be breathtaking.
"How did it get so late so soon?
It's night before it's afternoon.
December is here before it's June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?
-Dr. Deuss
IMG_2250 My Niece is our living link to her late mother. But, she is also so much more. Already a beautiful brilliant little girl, she is destined for greatness in whatever she does. She provides indescribable joy and love to us all and serves as a constant reminder of the love and life that can come only from God.
Boardwalk 030 My Best Friend is the once-in-a-lifetime buddy that everyone hopes for but seldom gets. Side by side through the years, the roots of our friendship are as deep as we are old. Whether we're apart for a week or a year, getting back together and passing the time is natural and without effort. The mark of a true friendship is contentment in the simple things.
Jess' Wedding My in-laws are the best pair of spouse-parents a guy could hope for. They raised my bride in a loving, Christ-filled home and have provided me with a wonderful second family.
